Proenza Schuler

so, okay. i'm fairly obsessed with all things Proenza Schuler. especially the lovely gentlemen behind the label, Jack McCullough and Lazaro Hernandez. i must admit though, i'm not totally in love with their entire collection though. in fact, there's not much i really like.

except of course, their color pallet. see?

i especially love that acid green/yellow and purple combo. and the navy blue and red one. and purple and orange. and the shoes are great. all of them.

ps, i'm very excited to see that colored tights aren't going anywhere.

also, just because--here is my favorite part of Proenza Schuler:

Dear Betsey

i love you. though i don't always love your clothes, i will always and forever love your spirit. and your cartwheels. you, my friend, are the bee's knees.

and i must say that i am even more enamored of you after i read that you had copies of On the Road for the front row at your show.

and while i'm not sure i could really pull off much of your collection (because i'm not rich and i'm not skinny and i'm not that hip at all...wompwompwommmmp), here are some things that i find fabulous:

in case you can't tell, that strapless red dress? the print is guns!!! how gangsta, but not at all. and i know that denim jumpsuits are usually not a good idea, but there is something so 70's chic and charming about that one there on the right. i can't help but like it. of course, this look should never be attempted unless one is at least 5'10" and 100 pounds.

last but not least, i'm ob.sess.ed. with this dress:

i mean, really...? bright blue?! off the shoulder?! sweater dress?!?!! there is nothing not to love about this. except maybe the red tights. i would not do that. unless it was the 4th of july. and it was unseasonably frigid.

in conclusion, i love you betsey. i wish we could be friends. i think you'd make a great friend. lots of fun. the kind of friend that would want to dress up in wacky clothes and have photo shoots on a saturday night instead of going out a getting drunk and not remembering anything the next day.

love,
sarah
